Currently an Adjunct Professor in Theatre at U of M-Flint and Mott Community College, Gerics spent a few years in New York acting, directing and studying stage combat with Joe Daly at H.B. studios. New York acting credits include Nat in I'm Not Rappaport at the Rockaway Theater Company, Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet for the Paperlace Theater Company and Mobley in There Is No Waiter In This Play at the New York Comedy Club. In Michigan, Gerics played Autolycus in The Winter's Tale and Egeus in A Midsummer Night's Dream at EMU, Fyedke in Fiddler On The Roof and Nathan Detroit in Guys And Dolls at Flint Community Players, Iago in Othello, Puck in Midsummer, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet at Flint City Theatre among others. He has directed several plays in several venues, most notably, in New York, Mary Sets Us Straight at the Producer's Club, Dancing At Lughnasa at the Rockaway Theatre, and here in Flint, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 at Flint Community Players, David And Lisa at Buckham Alley, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, Hamlet, Richard III and Blue/Orange at Flint City Theatre (the company he co-founded) and many others. He also has extensive musical directing experience at various theatres in Flint, New York and New England. He has taught acting and stage combat at various venues including FCT, Mott Community College and Michigan Youth Theatre.
